Collaboration: Auditory Function in Individuals with SCA
During our last general meeting we heard, Associate Professor Gary Rance speak on his fascinating Audiology research project.
Professor Rance is studying the correlation between those people diagnosed with a SCA, and the effect on hearing in these patients.
The project requires a number of people to volunteer to be tested. The test is non invasive, can be done at your convenience and in your own home.
The information regarding the project is outlined in the attached files. Please consider signing up for this valuable research gathering project. The result of this test could offer participants an opportunity to achieve better hearing quality and further understanding of Sca for you and future generations.
Professor Rance is particularly keen to speak to anyone living in the Melbourne area, however he may be able to arrange for a researcher to travel to homes outside of the Melbourne suburban area.
Thank you to those people who have already volunteered for this worthy project your interest and participation in this study could have far reaching benefits to our members and extend to Sca patients world wide.
